A Letter from Dr. Helen Campbell

Dear clients and friends,

Following the advice of so many of you over the years, I am finally opening my own practice!

Through Old York Veterinary Hospital, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to the highest standards of veterinary care. As you have come to expect and absolutely deserve, we will work closely with all of our clients to achieve the optimal treatment for every situation.
I received my Bachelors degree, with honors, from Wittenberg University in Ohio, in 1981. In 1985, I received my veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I was a member of Phi Zeta honorary. As a practitioner, I contribute clinical information to multiple canine and feline research projects. Most recently, I have been involved with projects concerning Canine Degenerative Myelopathy.
I have served as a cornerstone in several Small Animal veterinary practices in South and Central New Jersey over the last 25 years. As a result, I have a broad spectrum of interests. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine; to me, one area is as fascinating as the next. I have a strong background in emergency medicine and critical care. My particular areas of interest are internal medicine, especially geriatric medical management, and soft tissue surgery. I am a very experienced surgeon and have considerable expertise in soft tissue procedures.
Honoring the privilege of my position, upon becoming a veterinarian, I volunteered my surgical talents to local shelter and feral spay/neuter programs. In the past, I have performed surgeries for the Humane Society, Spay USA, regional SPCAs and local feral spay/neuter programs. For the last two years, we have dedicated our services to the Animal Orphanage in Voorhees, NJ. Old York Veterinary Hospital will proudly continue to carry forth this commitment.
Thank you for allowing me to share in the lives of your pets and therefore yours. I was born and raised in South Jersey. My husband, Jeff, and I met when we were 5 years old. We have been married for 27 years and have four children. Our home is in Mount Laurel, NJ. We battle for couch space with an English Mastiff, two Bullmastiffs, a chocolate Labrador and one very spirited Golden Retriever. Three cats allow us the honor of their presence.
I am so very grateful to those of you who have followed my sojourns over the years. Now, through Old York Veterinary Hospital, it is my turn to be there for you!
